It all depends how you installed vital. So the problem is located with vital and your installation(s). Bitwig is just following your configuration. So check the installation of vital .deb/tgz/ip or whatever.
..."following my configuration" how? My config in BW should, at least according to my "Settings" tab in the app, only be looking in ~/.clap, ~/.vst and ~/.vst3. ...and there are NO Vital clap files in any of those directories. ...nowhere in any sub-folder, either.

Code:

$ cd ~$ find . -iname "vital*clap"$
...Is BW looking for clap files somewhere else? Is there some kind of "clap registry" that Vital posted to that I'm unaware of (I thought not)? Because BitWig certainly thinks I have a .clap version of Vital (it is listed as an option in this "run separately" dialogue), but I have no way to tell it there is no such thing! <boggles>

...To me, this smells like a bug, either way. Maybe I should take this up with the Vital crowd instead, but it's hard to know.

EDIT: I -c'ed the .deb and saw that it was installing to /usr/lib/* ...I think I'll just figure it out from here, thanks. :\
