Wow, did Evelyn McHale traumatize you when you were 10? How did you deal
with it (other than making this song)?

A Beautiful Suicide: The track starts with a very steady clicking and monotonous
piano tones as well as a diffuse background scenery. At around 1:30 a lead guitar
appears in the background. Overall, an epic scene develops with a variety of sounds
that intertwine to form a whole. The saxophone adds some jazzy, melodic accents.

The whole track doesn't sound dramatic or traumatized. I associate it more with
a kind of monotonous urban everyday life. It's a beautiful song to listen to and a
great inspiration to the imagination. I enjoyed it. :tu:
Thank you so much for listening and your analysis of the composition. Very much appreciated!

When I first saw the photograph I don’t recall being traumatized. I was mostly confused as to why such a pretty woman would do such a thing. I hadn’t seen the picture for decades and recently saw it again on a website. Now that we have instant information at our fingertips, I did a little research. Apparently, mental health problems ran in her family. I suspect those issues were starting to manifest in her own life. She left a note requesting that her family and fiancé not see her this way. Ironically, the picture became famous and attracted the attention of Andy Warhol, David Bowie, and many others. If nothing else, it shows that depression is not something to be taken lightly. I have had my own experiences with it. In 2005, our two sons, 11 and 15, were killed. I went into a period that lasted about 15 years. I don’t know how you feel about religion, but there is a difference between God and religion. We found God. One day, my wife told me how people were making music on these iPad things, so I got one. I had been a musician for my entire life, but gave it up in 2005. I’m too old to play in bands anymore. I would love to, but I like to get to bed early these days. This little iPad is the next best thing. I am making the music that I want to make, and I am again playing for an audience, albeit virtual. As of yesterday, I have 291 original songs on SoundCloud and feel like I’m just getting started.

If you ever get a bit of free time, I would very much welcome your thoughts. Just google Paulieworld.

Thanks again your listening and commenting. Have a beautiful day!
