I think effects that are built around the sound of the synth can be great.
Like a holistic approach to the overall sound rather than something that's just slapped on there for the sake of it.
I love the reverb in Synapse Obsession (I'd even love a standalone version of it), Dune 3's effects are lovely too, the Tal Chorus is very much part of the sound in the synths it's used in, Minimal Audio's current has an incredible collection of effects that really elevate it and really shine with the modulation system, Avenger has some lovely FX, and Dawesome Myth has some fantastic and unique effects.
