Ultimately as far as I can tell they are pretty much just doing this stuff for fun (because they can), other than a few donations (and new synths may attract early access donations) they are not making anything committal and have no 'customers' as everything is given away free when complete.I rather worry about them putting new stuff out, instead of fixing the existing stuff.I worry a bit that they've now got multiple synth vendors with a bone to pick with them.
Vavra, Osirus, and OsTIrus have quite a few obvious bugs.
I guess this is the difference with freeware vs paid stuff, ultimately they don't have to provide any form of support or updates (although they are doing, quite a few TBH).
I have 100's of VSTs but I find myself using OsTIrus a hell of a lot...I would gladly pay for this stuff (as I did TC Powercore!) so it can improve and so there is support, but I am not sure that's the direction its going in...or perhaps they cant go in for legal reasons
