Hi Eassae,
I agree with you. There seems to be some trouble in the mids, and there IS a double bass thing going on around 2:00 so taming the low mids has been tricky. I agree, there is some frequency masking to adjust. Thank you for taking the time to check it out and listening. I am just learning how to "frequency stack" and begin to see it in Izotope Insight etc. (I think Vision 4x is another one...)
The lead souds are a bit nutz. The "main" lead has an automated 16 bar LFO that is adding Detune/Spread in Serum + Distortion, chorus and a really aggresive Flanger. On top of that I have 4-5 "supporting" sounds that are a mirror of the original track + FX added via Output Thermal and/or Minimal Rift. My thought process was just to get the sounds as crazy and gnarly as possible (Think trent reznor... Downward spiral territory). Although I dont think it translated as well as I hoped, it is a continual learning process thus far. I find that sometimes my overzealous production ideas reach a crossroad of ability in my mixing/mastering etc.
I appreciate you taking the time, and for your opinion and ears
Enroe,
I will take a listen to your track tomorrow so I can give it my full attention tomorrow and leave you some feedback. I come from the world of guitars, I studied with the USC studio guitar program in my early 20's so this is my wheel house - as opposed to freaking Envelopes, LFO's, Wavetables, and Filters
Thanks to you both!
P.s. Eassae if you drop me a link to some of your own productions I will be glad to return the favor and take a listen and give feedback...
Cheers!
