Translator has some issues and quirks, for sure, and the developer is a bit of an 'odd one', but honestly, it's probably the best of these tools out there. It's got quite a learning curve to it, and even then, you may have to actually email the company to ask them, "WTF does this do?" as even the 'user guide' for it leaves A LOT to be desired information-wise.
But when it works, it works. Some things obviously won't translate over, like an Akai cd that uses a four-point ADSR envelope that you hope can be converted into an EMU ADDRR envelope accurately (hint, they can), or filters that just don't exist, but it works for the most part. The only time I would ever buy it is around black Friday, though. Most of us aren't converting 100 different formats back and forth so the price is a bit too high. I only need to occasionally make banks for my EIV, which I can also do with the E4BTool, and back up the SD card I use in my S3000XL (this is the big one nowadays). Either wait it out and get it for about $80 on black Friday, or buy the cheaper version of it that only works for one format if that's all you need.
