I'm not qualified to comment on coding, but I know that IK Multimedia installs all their plugins, which is something I oppose.I'm not afraid of Melda plugins and in fact I like the ones I own. What I hate is the 1.5 Gigs of bloat that's installed even if you only own a few Melda plugins.
That's lazy programming and quite frankly disrespectful to your paying customers.
I just a had a new studio system built and I have yet to instal the Melda plugins I own because I'm trying to keep that system bloat free.
Obviously it wouldn't make sense for me to buy any more of your plugins so your decision to spew hundreds and hundreds of useless files all over our drives just for simple effects plugins can have negative financial consequences for your company.
Being that I'm a complete bundle licencee, I didn't notice any install bloat. Hopefully you can come to a good resolution regarding the install size.
