Basically, it's like buying Komplete and getting Komplete Kontrol bundled in. Reason is basically Komplete Kontrol, with its instruments, effects, players and other content being the other stuff in the Komplete bundle.You have to buy the DAW to get the RRP, I wonder how many would buy the DAW otherwise?...Its just how I see it, RRP seems to get most (almost all) of the developers attention...there has been lots of new stuff for the Rack and very little for the DAW side, even the publicity from the developers (YT etc) is all RRP. Even Reason+ is really just food for the RRP side. This is directly applicable to the DAW forum as it is the DAW side that most people seem to have an issue with (regarding the lack of development), RRP is actually pretty good as a plugin ecosystem...does RRP have a separate thread at KVR?Just out of curiousity: what would make you think that?I suspect Reason has more regular Rack users than DAW users currently

)I think they could have completely dominated if they had made this shift 10 years ago and actually focused their development totally on creating more players, instruments and effects; but they waited too long, IMO.
It's a raw deal compared to just buying Komplete and ignoring Reason entirely. Hell, I even think Steinberg's Absolute bundle is a better deal.
The only time Reason Rack starts to look attractive is when you get to Reason+, but... a subscription that holds your body of work hostage is not a great selling point.
Music Production is not like Video Editing, or other creative apps from companies like Adobe that use file formats that competitors can easily open and work with. You aren't going to be opening your Reason Projects in Logic the way you can open Photoshop projects in Affinity Photo.
