DSP and Plugin Development • SVF vs. EQ

Is making an EQ as simple as simply taking a ZDF SVF and mixing it with the original signal?

I.e. peak/notch would be:
original_signal + svf_bpf * eq_boost_amount

And low shelving filter would be:
original_signal + svf_lpf * eq_boost_mount
