I am looking for a method in Bitwig or VCV (or vst) where I can scan in a prerecorded midi sequence.
I want to be able to shift the domain the sequence is playing in, adjust the length etc with a midi controller. With 'domain' , I mean the 'ammount' of sequence between start and end point.
It would be perfect if I could load midi notes into the sampler device. I want to be able to perform the basic functions of the sampler on an existing midi sequence. Sample length=sequence length, start point, end point, speed,... ect. Accessible for midi control/ modulation.
It's fun to perform like this. For example, you could set a starting point, change the sequence start and end point, (not the notes !) and then come right back to the original.
In the inspector panel of the clip launcher I can't modulate or assign anything to a midi controller. I wonder if this is possible in the grid.
Phase in the context of the grid is very powerfull but I would like to use phase on an existing midi sequence (clip).
