In theory, there should be a delay, but it is not noticeable in practice. This is because the effects of micro dynamics respond instantly, whereas the effects of macro dynamics indeed take 2 seconds to work. However, we naturally need some time to perceive changes in macro dynamics, so this delay in effect is not very noticeable. What is more noticeable is the playback latency. If you want to quickly switch between loud and soft sections to confirm whether the volume is consistent, you need to wait 2 seconds after switching for the plugin to read the information for the upcoming 2 seconds. However, once playback starts, the effect is already completed and there is no delay.
