I've owned a few Gibson LP's both Custom and Standard. I own a standard copy now which is pretty good but it's no Gibson LP standard. Of all the solid body guitars I've ever owned and I've owned quite a number. Nothing, Nothing compares to a Real Gibson LP in the tone market save maybe the Modern Lite. I can complain to no end about the weight of my 70's LP Custom till the cows come home but it's the one magical guitar.
